Who benefits from our website?

Players/Parents

Have more fun by being a more informed consumer. Know before you go! And get noticed by coaches!
More Info
Parents finally get an understanding of which programs seem to be converting coaching and player development to “on the field performance”. A common complaint coming from parents is not having any concrete evidence of whether their kid is in the right program.

Clubs

Make sure your teams get noticed! Ensure that your players are given credit for their hard work!
More Info
Clubs not only get to see where they measure, but can more accurately select tournaments and brackets to ensure competitive balance. For the many clubs currently shut out of certain tournaments due to not participating in certain federations or not being known locally, this will open up the landscape to allow every team the opportunity to compete nationally and be ranked.

Event Producers

Provide a better product. Avoid lopsided games. Engage with your attendees & get the data to the coaches.
More Info
Players can see data on exactly where and why their teams are ranked. The ability to view who they are playing, those historical
scores, the opponents, and the strength of schedule enable more fun going into the game.

College Coaches

Utilize data in your recruiting process. Go beyond highlight films. Find players that fit your needs.

More Info

Tournaments will have a web-based central repository that allows them to see where all the clubs currently rank, and to put together a more balanced tournament format. The old way of “if you pay you can play” is being replaced with collective intelligence to decrease the number of “blowouts”. There is no bigger creator of frustration for parents, players, and coaches than very unbalanced competition.

Built for data.

Frequently asked questions

How exactly can this make lacrosse at the club level better?

Learn More
Traveling far away to blow out another team away is not beneficial for anyone. ClubLacrosse.org is a public utility that enables higher quality matchups and minimizes that chance of wasted time or embarrassments.

How can you get all this data?

Learn More
We developed a two-tier strategy for sourcing the data.; 1) progamatically crawling the web to scrape all available data and 2) employing a “Waze” like system for gathering collective intelligence from the lacrosse community.

Why do you consider this Easy, Defendable, and Transparent?

Learn More
By combining our centralized datastore, our data gathering systems, our network of contributors at tournament information, and our community portal  (www.clublacrosse.org) utility, we have created a smart and defendable process to improve the club level experience.

How do you decide the ranking methodologies?

Learn More
Our Advisory Board of external Lacrosse stakeholders guide our methodologies. They have converged upon utilizing the NCAA’s ranking algorithm (www.ncaa.org/sites/default/files/FAQ_for_MLAX_RPI.pdf), then added one more factor for average goal differential. The algorithms are strictly looking at empirical data from lacrosse tournaments. We are eliminating the subjective / political model that is currently in place.

Won’t this site promote teams to try to blow out their opponents?

Learn More
No – we are capping the goal differential at 9 goals per game for the winner as well as the loser. This number has no empirical justification, it just feels naturally best to our Advisory Board.

How do you fit into the current landscape within club lacrosse and college recruiting?

Learn More
This community utility is the missing piece. There are many websites that edit video and match colleges with recruits. Many websites cater strictly to college recruitment, while others address video and highlight films. There is a need for a community designed website that centralizes the data, while providing a window into how teams are performing individually on the field.

What People Are Saying

Truthfully, I have no idea if the teams we are playing are good. There is nowhere to get game results. And being able to contact other clubs to schedule free weekends has been a royal pain.

Well Known Club Coach

I am so tired of traveling so far and spending so much time and money going to tournaments where the matchups are completely uneven.
